Tamera Fields Parsons is a Performance Consultant for The University of Tennessee’s Institute for Public Service. She is an experienced executive, performance excellence advisor, facilitator, and trainer. Prior to joining the University of Tennessee, she served as the CEO for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence and as the Vice President for Quality, Patient Safety, & Performance for Ballad Health (formerly Mountain States Health Alliance).
Her accomplishments include the design of board of director onboarding, professional development, and certification programs, design and implementation of an annual quality awards program averaging $500K annually in cost avoidance or new revenue, development of an organization wide performance data processes, dashboards, improvement, and pay for performance programs, and leadership toward three state performance excellence awards.
Her specialized training and skills include Collaboration Models, Crucial Conversations, Process Management, and Strategy Management. Her certifications and achievements include Six Sigma Black Belt, Certified Healthcare Quality Professional, Certified Quality Manager, and National Baldrige Excellence Program master examiner/team leader/trainer.
